My family and I recently had the opportunity to become a host family for a group of immigrants from various Latin American and Chinese countries. Our guests had brought crystal meth, heroin, and crack cocaine into our house, and we were shocked by the extent of their drug use. We had to confront them about this behavior and provide resources to help them overcome their addiction. It was a difficult and emotional process, but we were determined to support them in their journey to recovery.

Despite our efforts to create a harmonious living environment, the negative behavior of our guests persisted. They continued to invite more guests over without asking for permission, which strained our resources and led to increased tension within the household. We repeatedly tried to communicate our concerns and set boundaries, but our guests showed little respect for our wishes and even resorted to spitting on us as a form of defiance.

The emotional and psychological toll of these experiences was immense. My wife and daughter required severe medical attention to cope with the trauma they had endured. In the end, we had no choice but to abandon our home and move to a new penthouse. This decision was not taken lightly, as it meant leaving behind the memories and the personal investment we had made in our previous home.
